The picture of Dorian Gray is a science fiction book written by Oscar Wild, it contains 520 pages.
Back to the nineties, in a beautiful sunny morning of spring, Lord Henry Wottom (one of the main characters) visited the painter Basil Hallward (main character) in his house, they sat in a beautiful garden and started arguing about the exhibition of the painting who painted Basil to Grosvenor University, he refused to sent it because he putted so much of himself in the painting.
The painting is the portrait of Dorian Gray, Basil's secret friend, Basil is impressed by Dorian's beauty and becomes infatuated with him, he describes him as a respectable handsome man.
After reading the first chapter, the author create an atmosphere of suspense which make the reading more exciting, Basils do his best to avoid talking about his reason for not exhibiting his painting, and the mysterious friend Dorian Gray who didn't appeared in the first chapter
